Kingfisher Marriage and Family Therapy is dedicated to offering a portion of our services subsidized. Higher-income families were — perhaps unsurprisingly — in a better position to deal with a relatively long work stoppage and had jobs that are generally more conducive to telework, a partial “insurance policy” that increased their chances of remaining employed during the pandemic and, afforded them much more safety from exposure to the virus.
The method is rather simple: couples, families and individuals with money privilege pay a premium and support other community members with less money privilege.
If you have the means to pay full fee ($250 individuals, $300 dyads/triads or families), or more than my full fee (at your discretion), please know that you are helping to subsidize appointments for those in our communities who are struggling financially, and would benefit from working with a therapist who has my specializations and qualifications. The same policy applies when working with one of the therapists in my practice, whose full fees range from $100 to $200.
Kingfisher Marriage and Family Therapy provides 10% of our client base free service, prioritizing LBGTQIA+- and BIPOC individuals from working class and lower income families.
We are currently redirecting surplus funds to anti-racism activism organizations, establishments that support LGBTQIA+- youth and programming that supports creative arts education for all.

Kingfisher Marriage and Family Therapy PLLC is an in-network provider with Aetna.
Kingfisher Marriage and Family Therapy, PLLC is an out-of-network provider for Cigna, Oxford, United, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Beacon Health.
Most insurances have a deductible which must be met before companies will reimburse for services. Kingfisher Marriage and Family Therapy processes all claims for you. Once said deductible is met, you are often only responsible for a co-insurance fee ranging between $40-$100.
