Inspired by her mixed cultural background, Anne views the world through various perspectives, often questioning norms and embracing the fluidity of our identities. This lens pushes her to embrace each client with an open mind and deep respect for their unique experiences.
She strives to see things from an outsider’s perspective, fostering curiosity and empathy in her therapeutic work.
Anne uses a sex-positive, trauma-informed, and non-pathologizing framework in her practice. She ultimately believes the answers we search for are already within us, waiting to be discovered. She strives to create a collaborative space where her clients’ autonomy and resilience are highlighted and their voices are uplifted. With a playful and empathetic approach, she walks alongside her clients, helping them get to the root of what is holding them back.
She uses a relational and systemic lens in her work, often going beyond the individual to consider the impact of larger social systems on our narratives of ourselves.
Anne moved to New York in 2016 from her home country, Angola. While initially trained in Criminal Justice, her minor in Anthropology inspired a new trajectory, deepening her interest in sexuality and human relationships. Currently, she is completing her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mercy University.
She is a certified holistic sex educator and a volunteer advocate for sexual and domestic violence survivors. During her free time, Anne enjoys dancing, reading thrillers and mysteries, baking tasty treats, and creating opportunities to bring people together.
